Casino at Fault??? I don't think so!!!

Recently a casino was expanded to allow table games.
The reason for the expansion is to provide tax revenue to the state.

(You can’t have it both ways. Well, Congress believes you CAN have it both ways.
Sin Taxes are used to fund programs that benefit seniors to programs that support the educational system for children. While this tax revenue is crucial to the health of these programs, Congress hopes the Sin Tax will reduce the use of these same products and activities it taxes. Stop usage; increase revenue - ?????
Something is wrong with this picture!!!! BUT THIS IS A TOPIC FOR ANOTHER DAY)

There has been criticism that the casino is not doing enough to stop parents from leaving their children in the car, unattended by a responsible person, so the parent can go into the casino and gamble.

The focus of the criticism was on the casino and the police for not doing enough to stop this. There was hardly a mention of the irresponsibility of the parent. This transfer of blame from the guilty person to, in this case the casino, must stop. It is time to send a strong message, not only to these parents, but to all; we all are responsible for our actions and must take responsibility for the consequences of those actions. We cannot place the blame elsewhere because we made a bad decision.

The punishment to these irresponsible parents needs to severe and swift. We no longer allow something like a “Scarlet Letter”, but as close to that as possible would be appropriate. The names and punishment of these people should be made available to the public.

Our society will continue to deteriorate unless we stop putting blame on others for our inappropriate actions.
